Open the AFC Futsal Level 3 certificate coaching course
On the morning of December 3rd, at the hall of the Cultural and Sports Service Supply Center in Chánh Hưng Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the opening ceremony of the AFC Level 3 Futsal Coach Course 2025 was held. The course was organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City Sports Joint Stock Company and AFC. This is the highest-level Futsal coaching course certified by AFC (Level 3), and it is the second time it has been held in Vietnam.

The course will take place from December 3rd to December 16th, 2025, including theoretical classes at Thai Sơn Nam Gymnasium and practical sessions at the former Quận 6 Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City. The instructors for the course include experienced AFC Futsal lecturers: Mr. Lee Young Jin (South Korea), Mr. Eisa Saadoun (Kuwait), and Mr. Zhang Cheng (China) – who will be responsible for the Futsal fitness module from December 14th to December 16th.
Opening the ceremony, on behalf of the instructors, Mr. Lee Young Jin expressed his joy at returning to Vietnam and reconnecting with the students who have previously attended courses he has taught. He emphasized that this Level 3 course holds very high professional value, and he hoped that during the upcoming two weeks of learning, both instructors and students would exchange and update the most advanced Futsal coaching knowledge from AFC.
Regarding his part, instructor Eisa Saadoun shared his heartfelt emotions upon returning to Vietnam after 20 years. He highly appreciated the development of Vietnamese Futsal and expressed his hope that the trainers will strive to learn diligently to contribute to the overall success of the course.
Representing the trainers, class monitor Nguyễn Vũ Anh Khoa expressed gratitude to VFF and Ho Chi Minh City Sports Joint Stock Company for their cooperation in organizing the course and creating favorable conditions for coaches to enhance their expertise.
On behalf of the host organization, Mr. Trần Quốc Khánh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Sports JSC, thanked VFF for their trust and partnership in Futsal coach training, affirming that the company will provide maximum support in terms of facilities for the course.
Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Organizing Committee at the opening ceremony, Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên, Head of the National Team Development and Competition Organizing Department, highly appreciated the support of AFC instructors and wished the students to strive to complete the program successfully and achieve the best results.
Participants of the AFC Level 3 Futsal Coach Course 2025 all already hold AFC Level 2 Futsal Coach certificates and have a minimum of 2 years of practical coaching experience. They are directly involved in coaching roles at national Futsal clubs, youth national teams (boys and girls), universities, and sports centers. Notable trainees include Trịnh Nguyễn Thanh Hằng, Trịnh Hữu Thành, Trần Thế Trung, Trần Ngọc Công, Nguyễn Vũ Anh Khoa, and Phạm Trần Thành Tín.
According to AFC regulations, trainees must pass rigorous theoretical and practical assessments. Those meeting the standards will be awarded the AFC Level 3 Futsal Coach Certificate.
The AFC Level 3 Futsal Coach Course 2025 is expected to continue making significant contributions to enhancing the quality of coaching staff, thereby promoting the sustainable development of Vietnamese Futsal in the upcoming period.
