Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao – Deputy Director of Danang Department of Culture and Sports, the unit coordinating to organize the course; Mr. Tran Do Quang – Deputy Director of Danang Athlete Training and Training Center, Course Organizing Committee; Mr. Mai Van Duc – Head of Training Department of Da Nang Athlete Training and Training Center, Head Coach of Danang Beach Team, Course Organizing Committee and Mr. Mai Anh Hoang – Deputy Head of Training Department of VFF. The opening ceremony of the AFC Beach Soccer Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 – 2023 was also attended by Mr. Mohd Faizal Bin MD Sood – Malaysian Lecturer, Head Coach of Malaysia Beach Team, Member of Ball Analysis Committee AFC beach rock.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, lecturer Mohd Faizal Bin MD Sood expressed his gratitude to the organizers for inviting him to organize the level 1 beach course: “I personally used to be a beach team instructor in Malaysia. I hope this course will be an opportunity to develop Vietnam’s beaches. In 2017, 2019, 2021, Vietnam has not participated in the beach soccer World Cup qualifiers. Therefore, I hope Vietnam will participate in future tournaments. In addition, I would also like to thank the Danang Department of Culture and Sports for coordinating with the VFF to host this course; Thank you again VFF for inviting me to come and organize this course. I will try to support the coaches here to become a good coach. Compared to Malaysia without a national beach soccer tournament, the fact that Vietnam already has a national league in my opinion will have many advantages. Our class will be divided into 3 groups, group 1 will evaluate, then groups 2 and 3 will participate in the practice. There will be good or very good scales to evaluate coaches.”

On behalf of the trainees, class monitor Mai Van Duc thanked the lecturer for taking the time in Da Nang: “On behalf of the coaches, thank the organizers for creating all conditions for the course to take place in Da Nang. We hope that after this course, we can contribute knowledge to the teams, build a strong beach movement, and the Federation can establish a beach team to participate in Southeast Asian and Asian tournaments.”

On behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation and the course organizers, Mr. Mai Anh Hoang said: “This is the second AFC Level 1 beach course in Vietnam. In 2016, Vietnam successfully organized the FIFA beach course. This course, if the coaches pass the exam, will be granted a certificate valid throughout Asia. The VFF in the coming time will try to develop a strong beach football movement in the localities. Many years ago futsal also started to develop with the first coaches, then gradually developed the futsal tournament into a league across the country. Therefore, VFF hopes these are the key coaches of beach football, developing strong movements in the future. The organizers in Da Nang are very enthusiastic to coordinate with the Federation to organize the course, and in the near future also build a beach soccer center in 2025 ready to host courses and sporting events on the beach. Coaches not only learn one-way from the Instructor, but also need the interaction between the Instructor and the Coach. Once again, thank you to the Danang Department of Culture and Sports for hosting the course, wish the coaches a good completion of the course and improve their knowledge.”

On behalf of the organizer of the course, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang expressed his gratitude to the AFC lecturers and was delighted to have been chosen by the VFF to organize this useful and important course: “Personally, I was a very early participant in beach football, from the first tournament in Khanh Hoa. After many years of playing in Khanh Hoa, Hue … the beach football movement has only developed in a few localities. Therefore, the movement is still limited and has not been developed. In recent years, beach football has grown a bit more but is still fragmented. Although there are few beach teams, the teams are quite strong. Vietnam participated in the Beach soccer in China in 2012. With the organization of this course, with the passion of Vietnamese people, I personally believe that Vietnam will not lose because we have ingenuity. I believe that if Vietnam beach soccer is invested, after the course will be brought to the locality to improve the level of athletes, Vietnam beach soccer will be successful. Through this class, I hope the coaches will absorb well, one day bring Vietnam’s beaches to a higher level. Once again wish lecturer good health, wish the Coaches well absorbed, bring strong beach movement to Vietnam”.
