In the other hand, letting Saigon FC catch up in terms of points (27 points) in the race to win the bronze medal created psychological pressure on Thai Son Bac players. After the first round against Tan Hiep Hung, coach Acosta Garcia’s team was 0-1 lead. Vu Ngoc Lan opened the scoring for Tan Hiep Hung in the 16th minute. Thai Son Bac faced more than a nightmare in the second half, with 5 goals conceded. In the last ten minutes of the match, Tran Gia Huy, Huynh Le Van Hau, Tran Tan Dong and Huynh Quoc Tam respectively filled in the name of the scoreboard. In particular, the last 3 goals of Tan Hiep Hung exploited thanks to the opponent’s mistake when using power-play tactics. Hoang Sy Linh in the 31st minute scored an honorable goal, in the final 1-5 defeat of Thai Son Bac against the opponent.
