In the 17th round of the Futsal HDBank National Championship 2022 taking place on the afternoon of November 7, Sahako was soon crowned the champion when maintaining a distance of 3 points compared to Thai Son Nam and more than in the direct confrontation. To early lift to the championship, Khong Dinh Hung and his teammates spent 40 minutes being exhausted by the Da Nang players. Sahako approached the match with caution. Because a draw result is enough for coach Nguyen Tuan Anh and his students to complete the target.

In the middle of the first half, the blue team pushed up the pace of the game. Dinh Cong Vien’s efforts in the 15th minute, with a left-hand shot that hit Da Nang’s net, opened the score for Sahako. But before the first half ended, the Han River team equalized 1-1. From the situation of coordinating kick-ins with teammates, Nguyen Van Hieu shot from the corner to beat goalkeeper Xuan Hiep.

Entering the second half, coach Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized the certainty for Sahako players. Towards the end of the game, when the players’ fitness decreased, the coaching assistant decided to reduce the tempo. The score drew 1-1, so the “Three-legged Crow” (nicknamed Sahako) was preserved until the end of the match.

With this result, Sahako raised the total score to 37, 3 points more than Thai Son Nam. Thanks to the head-to-head record of winning against Thai Son Nam 3-2 in the first leg and drawing 0-0 in the second leg, coach Nguyen Tuan Anh’s team officially won the title of the 2022 Futsal HDBank National Championship, before 1 round.

In the other hand, letting Saigon FC catch up in terms of points (27 points) in the race to win the bronze medal created psychological pressure on Thai Son Bac players. After the first round against Tan Hiep Hung, coach Acosta Garcia’s team was 0-1 lead. Vu Ngoc Lan opened the scoring for Tan Hiep Hung in the 16th minute. Thai Son Bac faced more than a nightmare in the second half, with 5 goals conceded. In the last ten minutes of the match, Tran Gia Huy, Huynh Le Van Hau, Tran Tan Dong and Huynh Quoc Tam respectively filled in the name of the scoreboard. In particular, the last 3 goals of Tan Hiep Hung exploited thanks to the opponent’s mistake when using power-play tactics. Hoang Sy Linh in the 31st minute scored an honorable goal, in the final 1-5 defeat of Thai Son Bac against the opponent.

Could not have any good results in the penultimate turn of the season, Thai Son Bac is facing a high risk of losing the bronze medal in the hands of Saigon FC.
