U23 Vietnam has practiced, actively looking forward to the opening match against Singapore
During the training session on February 15, U23 Vietnam exercised at the hotel’s gym. The afternoon pool recovery session was canceled to ensure the safety of the team members.

After testing negative for Covid-19, U23 Vietnam had a workout session at the gym of Phnom Penh hotel under the guidance of fitness assistant Le Cao Cuong. Before starting to practice, Doctor Duong Tien Can carried out a disinfecting job to prevent Covid-19. The training session to strengthen the physical foundation for the players took place in 1 hour.
According to the plan in the afternoon, U23 Vietnam will practice recovery at the swimming pool. However, the coaching assistants decided to cancel this training session. The reason was in the morning, the players U23 Malaysia and U23 Myanmar conducted a quick test of Covid-19 at the pool. A few players of Myanmar U23 also used the pool. Although the hotel has sprayed disinfectant at the swimming pool, to ensure the health and safety of U23 Vietnam members, coaching assistants still decided to cancel this training session.
As latest news, Myanmar U23 was forced to withdraw when many players had positive result with Covid-19 after rapid test on the morning of February 15 to prepare for the match against Malaysia on the evening of the same day.
U23 Myanmar is arranged in the same hotel with U23 Vietnam. However, this team is not in the same area as U23 Vietnam and has a separate path (teams in Group B including U23 Myanmar, U23 Laos and U23 Malaysia are arranged in the same area). U23 Vietnam (on the 4th floor) is located in the same hotel building with 2 teams in the same group C, Thailand U23 (3rd floor) and Singapore (2nd floor). This also means that the possibility of close contact between U23 Vietnam and Myanmar U23 players is almost non-existent and the risk of Myanmar U23 players infecting Covid-19 to Mr. Dinh The Nam’s players is also very low.
Despite having a negative result with Covid-19 and the possibility of contracting Covid-19 from U23 Myanmar, the medical department of U23 Vietnam has also requested other players and members to careful and always wear a mask when leaving the room, disinfect hands, maintain room and body hygiene, do not talk, have close contact with strangers such as housekeeping department, security guard, receptionist hotels… The health department also asked members of the team to report the situation when having abnormal health symptoms.
