Head coach Park Hang-seo: U22 Vietnam aspires to win a gold medal to accompany with the women’s team

Head coach Park Hang-seo: “We are very close to the championship. The fans, coaches as well as the players can be proud of what we have done at this tournament. We will continue trying to get the gold medal. The whole team will fight our best”.
Yesterday evening, head coach Park Hang-seo and his assistants came to Rizal Memorial to encourage the women’s team in the final match with Thailand. Mr. Park was very attracted by the competitive spirit of the women’s team. “I felt very happy when the Vietnamese women got the gold medal. I am proud of them. Besides that, I also have a dream that both teams can come back Hanoi with the gold medals”. Mr. Park shared.
In the final match tomorrow, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Indonesia. This is the opponent who lost 1-2 games to Park Hang-seo’s team in the group stage. Evaluate about U22 Indonesia, head coach Park Hang-seo said: “They have a strong competitive spirit. They have a good organization and have a balance between attacks and defend. At the group stage, they had 17 goals, and most of them from the left side. However, they also have the weakness, and we will know how to take advantage of it. The final match will interesting. All players are quality and ready for playing. We know how to win”.
The last time Vietnam participated in the men’s final match of the SEA Games was in 2009 held in Laos. Therefore, the chance to participate in this final match was created a special feeling for Mr. Park. He said: “When I was in Korea, I used to guide some clubs as well as national teams. In general, I also have many experiences to play in international tournaments. However, becoming the head coach of the Vietnam national team is a unique experience. I received many loves and supports from the Vietnamese. I have the responsibility to win this game and get the gold medal”.
The final match of Men’s football SEA Games 30 between U22 Vietnam and U22 Indonesia will start at 19:00 on 10th Dec at Rizal Memorial stadium.
