Vietnam Football Federation launches school football programme experience activities at Marie Curie School
As part of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Union of European Football Associations on women’s football development (UEFA/AFC), the VFF has launched experiential and pilot training activities at several schools. The first stop was Marie Curie School, where a physical education session was organised for students.
As part of the second-year programme plan (2026), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is compiling a coaching manual for girls aged 6 to 9, developed based on fairy tales. To date, the book’s storyline content as well as the accompanying training curriculum have been completed. Following a request from UEFA/AFC during the meeting on 11 May 2026, the VFF is required to organise pilot training sessions for Chapters 1 and 2 of the manual before UEFA proceeds with its official approval process.
The experiential activity at Marie Curie School was organised to assess the suitability, accessibility, and level of interest among children towards the new coaching method. The exercises were designed by integrating movement activities, games, and storytelling elements, thereby creating a lively learning environment that helps children develop basic motor skills and foster a greater love for football.
Through the programme, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) aims to promote the development of girls’ school football while also building a long-term foundation for the growth of women’s football in Vietnam from an early age.
