The course continues to be delivered by Mr. Koshida Takeshi, VFF Technical Director, and Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức, a member of the National Coaches Council, in coordination with the course organising committee. The course is part of VFF’s coaching education and development programme, contributing to the enhancement of coaching quality and player development in Vietnam.
Previously, in August 2026, VFF organised the “B” Certificate Coaching Course for women coaches. The latest course further expands training opportunities and provides male coaches with opportunities to update their professional knowledge and expertise.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Koshida Takeshi emphasised the importance of the “B” Certificate Coaching Course, particularly in coaching and developing young players. According to Mr. Koshida Takeshi, the objective of the course goes beyond simply completing the programme and obtaining the certificate. More importantly, it aims to equip participants with modern coaching methods that they can effectively apply in practice at clubs, training centres and local football organisations.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức said the course provides participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas, update their knowledge and gain insights into the latest trends in modern football, while also sharing practical experiences from their coaching work. He expressed his hope that the participants would actively engage in learning and discussion, strengthen their professional capabilities and gradually better meet the demands of the coaching profession.
Representing the Hai Phong Football Federation, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Hưởng, Chief of Office of the Hai Phong Football Federation, expressed his delight that Hai Phong had once again been selected to host VFF coaching education programmes. He affirmed that the Hai Phong Football Federation and Hai Phong Football Club would provide the best possible support in terms of facilities, training pitches and other conditions for the course.
The AFC/VFF Certificate Coaching Course – Module 1 runs for 12 days, combining theoretical sessions with on-pitch practical training. The programme is designed to equip participants with professional knowledge, coaching methods and the essential skills required for player development and training.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, coach Nguyễn Văn Quyết of Hanoi FC, the class representative, affirmed that the participants would make every effort in their studies, actively engage in discussions and apply the knowledge gained to their work, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnamese football.
The AFC/VFF Certificate Coaching Course – Module 1 in Hai Phong will run until 3 October 2026.
