Under-21 Hoang Anh Gia Lai will represent Vietnam to compete at the 2007 Southeast Asian championship/Hassanal Bolkiah Cup, which will take place in Brunei from March 3-17.
Under-21 Hoang Anh Gia Lai will represent Vietnam to compete at the 2007 Southeast Asian championship/Hassanal Bolkiah Cup, which will take place in Brunei from March 3-17.

 
The website stated that as Tien Giang, who won the 2006 under-21 championship, failed to compete at the tournament, Hoang Anh Gia Lai would replace them, under a decision by the Vietnam Football Federation.
 
According to the draw, Hoang Anh Gia Lai will compete against defending champions Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia in Group A.
 
Four other teams, Brunei, Myanmar, the Philippines and Cambodia, are in Group B. Leaders and runners-up of each group will qualify for the semifinals.   
 
As planned, on February 28, Under-21 Hoang Anh Gia Lai with 23 members will leave for Brunei to compete at the tournament. They will play the first match on March 4.

–   7pm March 4: Vietnam vs Thailand
–  7pm March 6: Vietnam vs  Singapore
–  3pm March 8: Vietnam vs  Malaysia
