Viet Tri City: India and Vietnam were in fine form as they kicked off their respective AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ 2024 Uzbekistan Qualifiers Round 1 campaigns with emphatic victories on Tuesday.

Singapore defeated India 7-0 while group hosts Vietnam saw off Indonesia 3-0 in the opening Group F matches.
India 7-0 Singapore
Captain Apurna Narzary and Anita scored a brace each as India cruised to an emphatic win at the Viet Tri Stadium.
Narzary opened the scoring in the seventh minute before adding her second five minutes later.
Anita’s efforts were netted in the 16th and 31st minutes with Sumati Kumari (10th), Astam Oraon (24th) and Kajol Hubert (89th).
Vietnam 3-0 Indonesia
Vietnam got off to a fast start, taking the lead as early as the second minute through Luu Hoang.
Midfielder Hong Thi Ngoc Anh doubled their advantage six minutes later and Vu Thi Hoa converted a spot-kick in the 37th minute to seal the points.
Vietnam will face Singapore next on Thursday while Indonesia play India.
