BV Cup 2006

HCMC International Football CUP, which is an ever-longest Tournament in Vietnam, initiated by sponsorship from Kenwood in the early 90″s. This event was reinforced by Dunhill in 1995 and then by LG Electronics from 2000 to 2005.

To heat up HCMC football-sporting activities, from the year of 2006 Bach Viet Media Joint Stock Company (BV Media J.S.C.) participates as an official sponsor of HCMC International Football Tournament and its name is changed to HCMC – BV International Football Tournament (or BV Cup) . BV media has agreed to sponsor CUP until 2010 as part of its active sports marketing campaign and in response to the strong popularity of football in the nation.

HCMC International Football Tournament has become an annual national Championship and been considered as AFC official schedule. The scores of the matches of HCMC International Football Tournament will be referred as the base for FIFA ranking.

HCMC International Football Tournament has been very successful and has been drawing much attention from the football fans of the host and other countries as the first regional Football Tournament. It is televised nationwide. On the other hand, the opening match will be held in the Thong Nhat stadium and draw a huge crowd of over 20,000 people, confirming the success of the event. Hence, marketing activities through the HCMC – BV International Football Tournament will make an unforgettable impression to football fan and to the society in a whole

          NATIONAL TEAMS PARTICIPATING

With the commitment to serve audiences captivating football matches. BV Cup has carefully considered in recruiting and selecting the leading football-playing teams and football-players coming from countries in Europe and Africa. Vietnamese national team U-23+3 participates in this year Championship as the last rehearsal before ASIAD attendance. The four football-playing teams in this season are:
