Also attending the workshop were nearly 40 participants from women’s football clubs, training centers, women’s futsal clubs, and several member associations nationwide. Representatives from various VFF departments also participated and delivered presentations regarding communications and marketing sponsorship.

On behalf of the VFF Executive Committee, Vice President Tran Anh Tu delivered the opening remarks, expressing his gratitude to the host organizations, including the Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, and the Thai Nguyen Football Federation. He also highly appreciated the invaluable support from FIFA and the active participation of all entities involved.

Over recent years, with effective support from FIFA and the continuous efforts of the VFF and relevant partners, Vietnamese women’s football has achieved positive growth. This is clearly reflected at the club level, in the youth training systems, and through the strong expansion of the movement nationwide. Since early 2026, as part of FIFA’s support program, a workshop on professional club licensing for women’s football was successfully held in Hanoi, establishing a vital foundation for the professionalization process.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of management and administration within clubs, Vice President Tran Anh Tu affirmed that this workshop serves as a practical forum, featuring representatives from seven women’s football clubs, women’s futsal clubs, and related entities. He noted that this is a valuable opportunity for management officials to exchange ideas, update their knowledge, and share experiences, thereby enhancing governance capacity as football continues to evolve toward a professional and modern landscape.

Speaking virtually at the workshop, Mr. Simon Antoine Toselli, FIFA Regional Representative for Southeast Asia, expressed his delight that the program is being hosted in Vietnam. He highly commended the Vietnam Football Federation’s commitment and investment in women’s football, as evidenced by the impressive achievements of the national teams in recent times. Mr. Toselli expressed his hope that the workshop would provide participants with useful knowledge and experience that can be effectively applied within their local organizations, contributing to the sustainable development of women’s football.

The workshop program covers several key topics, including project management, financial planning, safeguarding, communications and marketing, administration, and sports medicine, alongside the VFF’s strategic directions for women’s football development. These are essential areas with direct and long-term impacts on the growth of women’s football from the grassroots to the national level, particularly as the National Women’s Football Championship is set to be organized for the first time in a league format (home and away matches).

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) pledges to continue its close partnership with FIFA and other partners to effectively implement women’s football development programs in the coming time. Simultaneously, the VFF expects that clubs and relevant entities will proactively apply the knowledge and expertise gained from the workshop into practice, thereby enhancing operational quality and building a solid foundation for the sustainable growth of Vietnamese women’s football.
