National women’s football championship scheduled for early March

This year’s championship will bring together seven teams including Hanoi 1, Hanoi 2, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Thai Nguyen and HCMC’s Tao Dan.
 
The teams will compete in a double round robin format to determine the overall champions who will be awarded the championship trophy, gold medals and VND300 million (US$14,100) in prize money.
 
The runners-up will receive silver medals and VND200 million, while the third-place team will snatch bronze medals and a cash prize of VND150 million.
 
In addition, the organising board will also present VND20 million to the fair-play prize winners and VND10 million each to the top scorer, most valuable player and best goalkeeper.
