Opening ceremony of the AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course
On the morning of March 29, the opening ceremony of the AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course took place at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên – Director of the Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs, Mr. Mai Anh Hoàng – Deputy Director of the Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs; instructors Ngô Lê Bằng and Trương Quốc Tuấn from Thái Sơn Nam Futsal Club in Ho Chi Minh City, along with 20 trainees who are coaches from various units and localities.
On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – Secretary General of VFF, congratulated the instructors and trainees attending this course. He stated, “Vietnam Futsal has achieved significant progress in various competitions and international tournaments. Soon, the Vietnam Women’s Futsal team will compete in the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship. Over the years, with national competitions like the Futsal National Cup and the National Futsal Championship, Futsal in Vietnam has faced challenges, but looking at the journey so far, we are making progress and leading in terms of depth. This shows the potential for Futsal’s development and offers great career opportunities for Futsal coaches. This Futsal course is an important beginning for the coaches involved in their professional work. The VFF hopes that the trainees will demonstrate determination throughout the course, achieve good results, and contribute to the overall development of Futsal in Vietnam.”
As one of the two main instructors of the course, Mr. Ngô Lê Bằng – from Thái Sơn Nam Futsal Club in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his joy and honor in having the opportunity to teach a Futsal coaching course in the northern region, which reflects the development of Futsal in Vietnam and the right direction the sport is heading. “We would like to thank the VFF and AFC for trusting us to participate in teaching this course. I wish the trainees good health and success in their studies, and hope they can take the knowledge they gain, even if it’s small and basic, back to their local areas,” said Mr. Ngô Lê Bằng.
On behalf of the trainees, class leader Phạm Trường Minh expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for organizing the course, providing the opportunity for trainees to participate. “This is a very valuable course, where trainees will be introduced to systematic and in-depth knowledge from the AFC, which will help us apply what we learn in our professional work. Through this course, trainees will have a foundation to continue their studies in future Futsal courses organized by VFF and AFC. On behalf of the whole class, I would like to thank instructors Ngô Lê Bằng and Trương Quốc Tuấn; we commit to studying diligently and making every effort to achieve the best results,” said class leader Phạm Trường Minh.
The AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course in Hanoi runs from March 29 to April 3 at the Vietnam Football Youth Training Center. This is the second AFC Futsal Level 1 Certificate coaching course in 2025, held in the northern region.
