Opening ceremony of the AFC/VFF ‘A’ Certificate Coaching course – Period 1 at Ba Ria City
This morning (May 27), the AFC/VFF ‘A’ Certificate Coaching course – Period 1 opened in Ba Ria city. This is the second ‘A’ certificate course in Vietnam taught by Mr. Koshida Takeshi – VFF Technical Director, with the support of Vietnamese assistant Tran Duc Toan (Ha Tinh Sports Center).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Koshida Takeshi – VFF Technical Director, and course instructor thanked VFF and Ba Ria Vung Tau Club for coordinating to organize the course with the coaches: “I checked the class, practice field yesterday (May 26) and found that the conditions were very good. I hope all the coaches study well in this course. In this course, there are not only Vietnamese students but also Korean coaches. I hope everyone will have fun learning together. If Vietnamese football wants to develop, it will have to rely on the coaches here. The coaches participating in this course have all worked with professional players. I hope that in 2 weeks, everyone will learn a lot of knowledge and avoid getting injured.”
Representing the students, coach Le Quoc Vuong thanked VFF for organizing the course, thanked Ba Ria Vung Tau Club for facilitating the hosting of the course and lecturer Koshida Takeshi, and affirmed that all will study hard, unite, help each other, try to achieve a certificate to work at the club.
Coach Lee Yong Hyun from Korea shared: “This is a great opportunity to learn in Vietnam with Japanese instructors. I know the coaches here are all very famous players. Therefore, I hope that through this course I can talk and interact with football more so that I can learn and apply it in my country in the future.”
Representative of the course host, Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh – Chairman of Ba Ria Vung Tau Club, Deputy Chairperson of the Course Organizing Committee sent greetings to the students: “We are colleagues, because I also come from from a coach, from HAGL Club. I hope that instructor Koshida will convey useful knowledge to coaches. Ba Ria Vung Tau Club and members of the Organizing Committee are always ready to support the students.”
On the side of VFF, Mr. Mai Anh Hoang – Deputy Director of Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs said: “Vietnam is one of 15 countries that has become a member of the PRO category, the highest category of AFC. Among 15/47 countries in Asia (30%). At a recent conference, I admired Japanese coaches when 12 Japanese experts worked all over Asia. Therefore, I hope that one day a coach in the course can work abroad.
VFF will coordinate with the best instructors to teach courses. At the upcoming Professional Coach course, the Federation is trying to invite the highest quality Japanese instructors to teach. Vietnam will continue to coordinate 100% of its capabilities with the Japanese Football Federation to develop coaches in football, goalkeepers, and in the future, physical fitness.
Period 1 of the course will take place from May 27 to June 9, 2024, in Ba Ria city.
