Opening of the AFC/VFF ‘B’ Certificate Coaching course 2024 – Module 1
On the morning of August 10, the Opening Ceremony for the AFC/VFF ‘B’ Certificate Coaching course 2024 – Module 1 took place at the Ha Tinh Sports Training and Competition Center in Ha Tinh City. This training course is organized in collaboration between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Ha Tinh Sports Training and Competition Center, under the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ha Tinh Province.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the local organizing committee, Mr. Nguyễn Phong Vũ – Deputy Head of the Sports Management Department – warmly welcomed Instructor Koshida Takeshi, the assistant instructors, and all the participants to Ha Tinh for the B-Level Coach Certification Course. Mr. Vũ emphasized that the Department and related units would provide the best support and work closely with the Vietnam Football Federation to ensure the successful organization of the course.
Mr. Trần Quang Thưởng, Chairman of Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh Football Club, CEO of Hồng Lĩnh Football Joint Stock Company, and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), also expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation for trusting Ha Tinh to host the training course. He noted that Ha Tinh football is striving for development, and having the B/AFC/VFF Coach Certification Course held in Ha Tinh is a significant encouragement for the club and related entities.
In his speech to the participants, Mr. Koshida Takeshi, Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation and the lead instructor of the course, said: “Once again, I am honored by the Vietnam Football Federation to serve as the lead instructor for this coaching course. I thank the VFF, the sports agencies in Ha Tinh, and the course organizers for their excellent coordination to ensure the course runs as planned. Following the C-Level course, this B-Level course is a great continuation for Vietnamese football coaches. As the Technical Director of the VFF and an instructor, together with my colleagues Lê Huỳnh Đức and Trần Đức Toản, we will focus on delivering quality training and knowledge to the participants, contributing to the development of Vietnamese football. This is my greatest wish. I hope the participants stay healthy and avoid injuries throughout the course.”
As one of the first coaches in Vietnam to hold an AFC Pro License and with extensive experience in coaching at V.League, Assistant Instructor Lê Huỳnh Đức added: “As we know, football coaching knowledge is limitless. Despite my years of experience and completion of C, B, A, and Pro coaching courses, I still desire to continue learning, updating knowledge, and sharing expertise with both colleagues and the participants here. I encourage all of you to work diligently and seriously in your studies, as you are the key factors in your own professional development.”
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên, Head of the Football Development, Training, and Member Organization Department of the Vietnam Football Federation, expressed gratitude on behalf of the course organizers to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ha Tinh, the Ha Tinh Sports Training and Competition Center, and Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh Football Club for their support and provision of optimal conditions for the course.
Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên announced that the AFC/VFF ‘B’ Certificate Coaching course 2024 – Module 1 will last for 12 days, from August 10 to August 21, 2024. Participants who meet the AFC’s evaluation criteria will proceed to Module 2 of the course, which is scheduled to be organized by the VFF in early November 2024.
