Viet Nam have jumped one spot to 152nd in the world rankings, FIFA said.

With 166 points, Viet Nam are seeded 25th in Asia and rank third in the Southeast Asian region, behind the Philippines (world number 125) and Thailand (world number 137).

While Lionel Messi-inspired Argentina continues to be the best international side, Belgium have retained their second rank – a spot the Red Devils’ Golden Generation reclaimed earlier this summer. World champions Germany are in third place.

There are no changes in the next four spots, claimed by Colombia, Brazil, Portugal and Romania. Chile have risen two spots to eighth, their highest ranking in nine years.

England are the only other change in the top 10, falling two places from eighth to 10th.

Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions have now fallen behind Wales for the first time, with the Welsh holding on to ninth place.
