Speaking at the closing ceremony, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu highly appreciated FIFA’s support and the technical contributions of the instructors, while acknowledging the participants’ serious and responsible learning attitude throughout the program. The VFF Vice President affirmed that the workshop delivered significant practical value, helping to standardize approaches to football talent identification and selection, while enabling participants to better understand the correlation between a player’s current ability and their future development potential.
Over the three-day workshop, participants engaged in a wide range of technical content spanning both theory and practice, and took part in in-depth panel discussions on talent identification methodologies and the development of selection criteria aligned with modern football trends. The knowledge and expertise shared by the FIFA experts are expected to effectively support youth training and development efforts across local football associations and clubs.

The former Vietnam women’s national team player shared that the workshop provided highly beneficial knowledge, equipping coaches and scouts with a stronger technical foundation to identify, assess, and select young talent.
Following the workshop, the VFF expects participants to effectively apply the knowledge, methodologies, and criteria they acquired into their daily work at their respective clubs and localities. Concurrently, the youth development system will continue to be reviewed and refined in accordance with FIFA standards, particularly for the U12 and U14 age groups. In the coming time, the VFF will further strengthen its cooperation with FIFA and the AFC to elevate training quality, driving toward the sustainable development of Vietnamese football.
