After more than 2 hours of traveling by bus from Bangkok, this afternoon (August 16) the U23 Vietnam was present in Rayong, located 168 km from Bangkok. This is the venue for the AFF U23 Championship 2023.

At the invitation of the Chinese Football Assiciation, the Vietnam Football Federation has decided to send the U22 Vietnam to attend the 2023 Panda Cup international tournament, to be held in Chengdu, China next June.

This morning (March 30), the U23 Vietnam returned to Hanoi after completing the U23 international Cup in Doha, Qatar. This is the tournament that is considered to be the last “test” in the training period in March 2023 by coach Philippe Troussier and his players.

At noon on March 23 local time, the U23 Vietnam returned to the training ground to prepare for the match against U23 UAE in the second round of the U23 international Cup Doha-Qatar 2023. On the evening of March 20 in Doha, U23 Vietnam continued to have a training session on training ground No. 3 of Qatar University Stadium. In order to help the players get used to the match schedule before entering the U23 Cup international tournament, the training session starts at 10:00 local time (2am 21 Mar Vietnam time) and ends at 00:00 (4a.m Vietnam time).
U23 Vietnam is excited on the training ground of the World Cup champion
At 11:15 am on March 19 local time (15:15 Vietnam time), U23 Vietnam had a relaxing session on the training ground in Doha. The interesting thing that makes the players very excited is that the team’s training ground is also the training field during the World Cup 2022 of defending champion Argentina.

After a 7 hours-flight, the first group of U23 Vietnam was present in Doha, Qatar. At the airport, coach Philippe Troussier’s team were warmly welcomed by representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Qatar.
