– Good morning. Welcome you to be a new member of Vietnamese football. What do you expect when starting a new journey with VFF?

I expect to continue to improve the structures already in place by proposing innovations about Data evaluations or new methodology of working, or setting up action plans capable of creating a high-level performance unit for the women’s national teams A  and the youth selections both men and women. The objective is to bring my experience and my competency to a structure which has already proved but which still wishes to take new steps.

– Physical health is a factor that is difficult to change in a short time, and it is a long-term process. So what is your plan for the new job here?

Physical development can be a long process under certain conditions and it is true that some of its components like improving speed are difficult to really optimize.  But it all depends on the basic potential of the player.  It is first of all essential to assess all the individual qualities of each player.  Then once the physical profiles have been established we can set up with the staff and according to the directives of the head coach, an individual and collective work plan to improve and maintain the various physical qualities.

– The COVID-19 pandemic is still effecting many activities included football events, so what will you do first?

First, I would therefore like to be able to set up a precise assessment of the athletic qualities of each players selected in national teams during training camps and why not also by intervening over very short periods in the form of information days directly in the  clubs and at the service of staffs.s et to analyze the results.

– How do you create excitement in the exercises? Not only practice, but also add some games to increase strength?

To motivate a player, I think I have to convince them that what we are going to offer them makes sense and will allow them to progress. the player will take pleasure if the training content gives him or her new skills to respond to the problems encountered in a match.

I like to work many exercices with ball but sometimes it’s important to do someone without because sometimes football is sacrifice and frustration and about psychological aspect, players must to be able to face it. I think with my experiences I can propose many motivational situations for the players.

Thank you for this interview !
