Japan and DPR Korea reached the Final of the Doha Asian Games women”s football competition after similar 3-1 semifinal victories over Korea Republic and China respectively on Sunday.
Japan and DPR Korea reached the Final of the Doha Asian Games women”s football competition after similar 3-1 semifinal victories over Korea Republic and China respectively on Sunday.
Japan had little difficulty in ousting Korea Republic after three second-half goals from Azusa Iwashimizu, Miyuki Yanagita and Yuki Nagasato. Park Hae-jung pulled one back for Korea Republic in the 89th minute.
Kil Son-hui restored parity for DPR Korea in the 21st minute after Wang Dongni had opened the account for China in the 10th minute and two stoppage time goals from Ri Kum-suk and Ri Un-gyong settled the issue in favour of the Koreans.
The Final takes place on December 13.
