VFF Permanent Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan is the Executive Director of U23 AFC Championship 2020
14th Dec, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has officially appointed Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to take on the position of Executive Director of U23 AFC Championship 2020.

This decision of AFC one more time affirmed the position of Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan in the organization activities of AFC. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan is known as the first Asian man who managed the final match of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 in Thailand. In the years after that, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan was in charge of many big events such as Asiad Incheon 2014, Asian Cup, etc.
Jun 2019, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan officially became the President of the AFC Competition Committee. This was the first time Vietnam had the reprehensive at the highest position of Competition Committee of AFC.
As the Permanent Vice President of VFF, according to the plan of the Executive Committee, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan was directly manager of the activities of the national teams and the national tournaments. He has worked hard for the development of Vietnamese football.
U23 AFC Championship 2020 starts from 8th Jan to 26th Jan 2020 at 4 stadia including Chang Arena (Buriam), Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok), Thammasat Stadium (Pathum Thani), and Tinsulanonda Stadium (Songkhla) at Thailand. In the last tournament, Vietnam finished at Top 2. This tournament, U23 Vietnam will meet UAE, Jordan, and DPR Korea at the group stage.
