Rogelio’s 58th minute goal helped hosts Thanh Hoa come from behind to hammer The Cong 2-1 while Military Zone 4 moved into the third place of the table after trouncing T&T 1-0 in Hanoi on April 19th.

Visitors The Cong took the lead when Raphael Oliveira scored the opener in the second minute. After the goal, Thanh Hoa strived to fight back. Five minutes later Alejandro levelled the score with his super free kick. After the equaliser Thanh Hoa intensified their attacks, creating several clear chances to score, but Rogelio, Thanh Luan and Alejandro failed to widen the gap. Rogelio could not score from a close range in 8th minute and Thanh Luan headed over the crossbar in the 27th minute before Alejandra shot over the crossbar a minute later.
Four minutes into the second half, Rogelio helped Thanh Hoa lead with his wonderful header.
From this time, it was The Cong who had to come back from behind. But their efforts were in vain because the hosts defence played perfectly well. Thanh Hoa remained at the bottom despite a 2-1 victory over The Cong.

The same day, Da Nang beat Dong Thap 1-0 to top the table and Song Lam Nghe An thrashed Nam Dinh 2-1 to rank the fifth. Meanwhile T&T Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City Club and Hoang Anh Gia Lai lost to visitors Military Zone IV 2-1, Hai Phong 2-1 and Dong Tam Long A 2-0 respectively.
In an early match on April 17th, Khanh Hoa drew 0-0 with Binh Duong to remain in the second place.
