Football club Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) will go down as the first club in the league”s five-year history to record a double win this year, claiming the V-League and National Cup titles.

The National Cup 2005 final game kicked off in Vietnam between Mitsustar Hai Phong and DTLA, who won V-League 2005 title last month.

DTLA supporters burst into happiness on their home field Long An last Saturday as they watched their favorite players control the game, and the scoreboard destroying their opponents 5 nil.

Two brothers Carlos and Antonio Rodriguez proved themselves to be best foreigners in V-League this season, both dominant forces in the game.

Fifteen minutes into the game, Carlos set up a high pass to midfielder Tai Em, who timed the jump perfectly to head home the opening goal and take his side – DTLA – to a 1-0 lead.

At the 40th minute, Antonio controlled the ball, drawing two HP defenders to the right side before curling a high pass to his brother Carlos, who blasted home a clinical header.

Three more second half goals came from Carlos, Tai Em, and Tostao Fungai, sealing the victory for DTLA.
