AFC Annual Awards Hong Kong 2019: Doan Van Hau nominated for AFC Youth Player of the Year
At 18:00 on tonight 2nd Dec 2019, the AFC Annual Awards Hong Kong 2019 will be held. Vietnam’s football has one player in the shortlist of AFC Youth Player of the Year is Doan Van Hau.
Vietnam’s defender Doan Van Hau is one of three candidates for the AFC Youth Player of the Year for Men with 2 other players are Hiroki Abe (Japanese) and Lee Kang-in (Korean). Hiroki Abe now is 20 years old however he has named at Japan’s team in Copa America 2019. Meanwhile, Lee Kang-in had an impressive performance to help Korea the first time joined in the final match of FIFA U20 World Cup 2019.
About Doan Van Hau, 2019 is the memorable year. At the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Final, Doan Van Hạu had an impression throughout as a player of the Vietnam national team and come into the quarter-final. After this tournament, Doan Van Hạu had named in the top 5 Youth player who has an impressive performance in the region. Today, Doan Van Hau is a key player in U22 Vietnam in SEA Games 30.
In other titles, goalkeeper of Persepolis FC and Iran national team Ali Reza Safarbeiranvand, multiple-task defender Tomoaki Makino of Japan, and the star of Qatar national team in AFC Asian Cup 2019 Akram Hassan Afif will nominated for the title Player of the Year (Men). On the other hand, at the title Player of the Year (Women), the candidates are Li Ying from China who is the player of the national team in FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 (France), Loitongbam Ashalata Devi of India, and the captain of Japan national team Saki Kumagai.
At the award for the coaches, 3 candidates for the title the Coach of the Year (Men) are Tsuyoshi Otsuki (Japanese), Go Oiwa (Japanese) và Chung Jung-young (Korean). Meanwhile, Katayoun Khosrowyar (Iran), Asako Takakura (Japanese), Nuengrutai Srathongvian (Thai) will nominate for the title the Coach of the Year (Women).
