Head of delegation Tran Anh Tu: “VFF provides fully condition for futsal national team forward to the World Cup”

– Compare to the last 5 years, this journey faced many difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Can you share about the last 20 days in Ho Chi Minh City, how did the team implement the measures to prevent the pandemic and ensure the health of the team?

Mr. Tran Anh Tu: In these 20 days, the team practiced at Ho Chi Minh City’s Physical Training Centre. In there, we were provided very good conditions to practice. The team had a private area that included: training field. Therefore, the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic was low. Besides that, in these 20 days, the team had a regular medical test in Hospital 175. Before moving to Hanoi, the team also had a test as the requirement of FIFA.

– How about the plan of the team in the upcoming 10 days in Hanoi?

VFF is trying to work with local authorities to have the best condition for the team. Besides that, the team implements the “bubble principle” to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe the training during 10 days in Hanoi will have a good result.

– Before joining in the FIFA World Cup 2021, the team will have a training camp in Spain and 4 friendly matches. As the head of the delegation, what do you expect in this process?

It is a long time since the last time the Vietnam Futsal team competed in an international environment. During 2 years, we only had 2 play-off matches and a friendly match with Iraq. Therefore, the training camp in Spain was good support from VFF. We will face strong opponents equal to our opponents in Group D of World Cup 2021.

– 5 years ago, Vietnam was excellent when passing the group stage for the first time joining. How about the target this year?

I think with the effort of the team and support from VFF, our team will get up from the problem. We will try to have the best result. Vietnam team determines to join in the round of 16 as 5 years ago/
