Men's Futsal National Team

Today (March 28), Vietnam futsal team had the second friendly match in the training camp preparing for the 2022 Southeast Asian futsal championship. The opponent of head coach Pham Minh Giang’s team is the Bangkok BTS Futsal Club.

Before traveling for Thailand to train to complete the final preparation for the 2022 AFF Futsal Cup, head coach Pham Minh Giang made the decision to select 17 out of 22 players on the short list of Vietnam futsal team.

Vietnam Futsal team have been drawn in Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship 2022 following the official draw ceremony that was held this afternoon in Bangkok.

Today (February 21), the Vietnamese futsal team officially gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the 2022 2022 AFF Futsal Championship and AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier.

On the afternoon of February 16 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Prime Minister’s Commendation Ceremony took place for the National Men’s Futsal Team and individuals with excellent achievements at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021.

As a part of the plan to prepare for SEA Games 31, the Men’s Futsal National Team will have a short gathering with some new players.

After a long flight from Lithuania with 2 transits in Frankfurt (Germany) and Dubai (UAE), the Vietnam futsal team arrived in Vietnam on the night of Sep 25, finished the outstanding journey at FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021.

When the last FIFA Futsal World Cup took place, Van Hieu had never even played the sport. He took it up in 2018, was a Vietnam international just 12 months later and is now dazzling at Lithuania 2021.

According to the competition calendar, Vietnam Futsal Team will face Group A winners Russian Football Union in the first of the Round of 16. This is also the team that defeated the Vietnam team in the round of 16 5 years ago in Colombia with the score of 7-0, then went to the final game
